About the Principal

Lou Luciani, CMfgE, PE, is an Operations and Manufacturing Engineering Professional skilled in using leading-edge technologies and leadership principles to achieve Operational Excellence. Lou has held previous positions at Dresser (both Instrument and Flow Control divisions) as Chief Manufacturing Engineer, Production Manager and Lean Champion. In this capacity, Lou directed the activities of manufacturing process improvement and Lean Strategies. Previously, Lou had been with United Technologies (both Sikorsky Aircraft and Norden Systems divisions) and Bridgeport Machines, in Manufacturing Engineering and Production Management. Lou has over 35 years of experience developing and implementing innovative and pragmatic solutions that resulted in Business Transformation. Lou was the recipient of the prestigious UTC Arthur E. Smith award for orchestrating a manufacturing turn-around at Norden Systems, and the Dresser Industries Trombley Award for materials replenishment at Dresser. As a member of the United Technologies Manufacturing Council, Lou participated in a Carrier division turn-around, utilizing UTC's "Flexible Manufacturing". A native of Connecticut, Lou has a BS in Manufacturing Engineering, a PE in Manufacturing Engineering and a Certified Manufacturing Engineer in Manufacturing Systems.
